What is Oxygen Routes?

Oxygen Routes is a new service from Druglink, funded by Hertfordshire County Council. Routes supports Hertfordshire residents – struggling with alcohol and other drugs – to maintain a tenancy by navigating them along a person-centred support pathway. Download the Routes flyer.


How does Oxygen Routes help?

  • Person-centred intervention support plans for each resident

  • Linking residents into other providers

  • Encouraging residents to work with local services to help maintain their tenancy

  • Key areas of intervention support can include:

    • Drugs and alcohol

    • Advocacy

    • Mental health

    • Medical

    • Financial help

    • Homelessness

    • Criminal justice

 

Referral Criteria

  • Single, 18+ living in Hertfordshire

  • Living in temporary/ hostel accommodation

  • Engaged with a service providing support for drug and alcohol use

  • At risk of becoming homeless


Referral Route

  • Hostels/ temporary housing refer into Oxygen Routes

  • No direct referrals from individuals

  • Referral form to be emailed to routesreferral@druglink.ltd.uk

  • Assessment by Routes team – response within 48 hrs

Who does Oxygen Routes help?

  • Single adults, over 18, living in Hertfordshire

  • People who are living in temporary accommodation and hostel settings

  • Those struggling with substance misuse

  • Residents who are in danger of losing their tenancy and becoming homeless

  • People who would benefit from advocacy on their behalf to help them maintain their tenancy
